It is important to distinguish between clinical services provided within an established therapeutic relationship and general information available through this website and other public platforms.

Information provided through this website, blog, social media, presentations, downloads, educational resources, or other public materials is intended for general educational purposes. Public content is not individualized psychotherapy, medical advice, psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment and does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
Mental Health Counseling
Psychotherapy and mental health counseling provided by Authentic Perspectives are professional clinical services governed by informed consent, applicable practice policies, and professional standards. La Tanya D. Walker, M.Ed., is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida and provides mental health counseling under qualified supervision as required for registered interns. Florida law requires registered mental health counselor interns to use that professional designation on promotional materials naming the intern.
Clinical services do not guarantee a particular result or outcome. Florida law prohibits misleading or deceptive representations in professional practice.
Medical & Psychiatric Care
Authentic Perspectives does not provide medical treatment, prescribe medications, manage psychiatric medications, or provide psychiatric medical services. Clients should consult an appropriately licensed medical or prescribing professional before beginning, stopping, or changing medications or other medical treatment.
When appropriate, clients may be referred to outside healthcare professionals. With appropriate authorization, collaborative care coordination may also occur with providers involved in a client's care.
Coaching Services
Coaching is separate from the psychotherapy and mental health counseling services provided through Authentic Perspectives Counseling & Wellness Center. Coaching is not psychotherapy and is not intended to diagnose or treat a mental health disorder.

Emergency & Crisis Services
Authentic Perspectives is not an emergency-response or 24-hour crisis service. The website, email, social media, voicemail, and patient portal should not be relied upon for emergency assistance.

Clinical Agreements Control
When an individual becomes a therapy client, the applicable Informed Consent, Financial Policy, Telehealth Consent, membership or group agreement, and other clinical documentation govern the therapeutic relationship.
