Community Outreach Interns
Position Type: Internship (Unpaid, College Credit Eligible)
Location: Remote with some local outreach/networking as needed
Hours: Approximately 8–10 hours per week

About Authentic Perspectives Counseling
Authentic Perspectives Counseling is a professional counseling practice that supports women navigating leadership, professional responsibility, and demanding life seasons. The practice integrates evidence-based mental health care with practical strategies that help clients sustain emotional steadiness, clarity, and capacity while managing complex responsibilities. We are seeking a Community Outreach Intern to support referral development, professional relationship building, and community engagement efforts as the practice continues to grow.
This role is ideal for a student or emerging professional interested in partnership development, community engagement, and outreach within a private practice setting.
Key Responsibilities

Research and identify potential referral partners including physicians, therapists, churches, and community organizations

Assist with building and maintaining referral partner lists and outreach tracking systems

Support professional outreach through email, LinkedIn, and community networking initiatives

Help coordinate outreach for workshops, speaking engagements, and professional collaborations

Track outreach activity and maintain organized contact records

Support relationship-building efforts that strengthen community visibility and referral connections
Ideal Candidate

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field

Strong professional written and verbal communication skills

Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing outreach tasks independently

Confident conducting online research and tracking communication efforts

Interest in mental health, counseling services, professional networking, or community wellness strongly preferred

Comfortable representing a counseling practice with professionalism and discretion

Compensation
This internship is designed primarily for educational and professional development purposes and may be eligible for academic credit depending on university requirements. Approved local outreach activities may qualify for mileage reimbursement using the current IRS standard mileage rate. Additional stipend support, if offered, will be discussed during the interview process.
