These policies are effective as of the time you submit your deposit. DEPOSIT There is a $250.00 deposit for the program is non-refundable and non-transferable. The deposit you submit will be applied to the total tuition balance and is only applicable to your chosen cohort and may not be transferred to another cohort.  Please note that if you are not accepted into the program for which you’ve applied, your deposit will be fully refunded. TUITION Applicable tuition must be paid at the time you of application.  Once received, your application will be processed and an acceptance letter will be emailed to you.  You are welcome to request an alternate payment plan, but the financial obligation for the tuition is incurred at that time.  Should a payment plan be selected, the student becomes liable for the full amount.  Balances must be paid in full within six weeks and/or prior to receiving certificate of completion, unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon in writing by La Tanya D. Walker, Live Authentic University or Authentic Perspective Counseling & Coaching, LLC.   Bi-weekly tuition is due on or before the 5th and the last calendar day of each month.  Weekly installments are due on or before the start of each class.  If the student fails to make his/her required payment on the scheduled date, a late fee of $25.00 will be assessed.  Failure to make two (2) consecutive payments will be grounds for expulsion from the certification program the student is enrolled.  If the student is expelled for financial reasons, he/she may appeal and seek reinstatement. However, the student, once expelled for financial reasons, will be required to pay the outstanding balance in full, including late fees and reinstatement fees.  Please contact us if you are having financial difficulties.  Effective February 2023, tuition is due and payable one month before the program begins. We accept credit card and cash (via Zelle or CashApp)  as acceptable forms of payment towards tuition.  A 2.9% processing fee will be assessed at the time of check out for all credit/debit cards.   REFUNDS You may cancel up to 14 days prior to the start of program, and your tuition is fully refundable minus the non-refundable deposit.  If you cancel between 14 and 7 days prior to start of class, we will refund 50% of the program fee minus the non-refundable deposit.  If you are on a payment plan and have not yet paid in full, 50% of the program fee becomes immediately due and payable. No refunds are possible after seven (7) days prior to the starting date.  TRANSFERS/SUBSTITUTIONS All payments are non-transferrable.  You may not transfer to another program nor substitute another person in your place. WITHDRAWALS A student may withdraw from a certification program at any time. However, LAU requires a withdrawal notice in writing.  If you withdraw from the program at any time for any reason, we will not refund your tuition.  If the tuition is being paid in installments, the full amount becomes immediately due and payable. EMERGENCIES We always try to accommodate absences resulting from emergencies such as severe illness, accidents, and so on. Especially with the Certified Coaching Course, however, adjustments can be challenging. Therefore we are not able to accommodate requests for transfers for any other reason, such as work scheduling issues, family reunions, or the World Cup, for example.
